Hematopoietic Cell Transplant (HCT) Caregiver Study

Inclusion Criteria

Patients undergoing HCT and their primary caregivers

• Caregiver: Must be at least 18 years old and provide at least 50% of the patient’s needs (primary caregiver); willing and able to understand and sign informed consent
• Patient: Must be at least 5 years old and is scheduled to undergo HCT; willing and able to understand and sign informed consent
• Both patient and caregiver must have a smartphone (Android, iOS)

Study Components

Fitbit Charge 3 (Patients and Caregivers)

• The patient will be educated on proper procedures and encouraged to wear device as much as possible every day.
• The Fitbit may be kept after the study ends
• Tracks daily steps and sleep

Roadmap 2.0 App

• Caregivers will be randomized (1:1) to receive positive activities or none
• Positive activities include positive piggy bank, gratitude diary, savoring, pleasant activity scheduling, random acts of kindness, signature strengths, love letter, and engaging with beauty
• Surveys will be completed through the app at baseline (prior to transplant) and days 30 and 120 post-transplant
• Tracks daily mood
